Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

RugbyPrep SARL (company number 889 731 246), registered at 265 Route de Saint-Maurice, 74540 Alby-sur-Chéran, France, is the data controller for personal data collected in the Rugby Prep app. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and what your rights are.

1. Data we collect

Rugby Prep collects the following data:

  • Email address and display name at sign-up. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that information is passed to us by the provider you chose.
  • Profile photo, if you add one: it is stored on our servers. It is optional and can be removed at any time.
  • Athletic profile: position, experience, goals.
  • Session data: exercises performed, loads, durations, perceived effort.
  • Physical data: body weight and its history, body measurements, physical test results.
  • Messages you send to the in-app assistant, and the training context attached to your question.
  • Your device's notification token, so we can send you the app's notifications.
  • Crash reports: the nature of the error, device model, operating system and app version. They are linked to your account identifier, so that an incident affecting you can be fixed.

Rugby Prep contains no analytics tooling and no advertising network: no screens viewed, no navigation paths, no advertising identifier. No data is used to track you, inside the app or anywhere else.

If you enable biometric unlock (Face ID, fingerprint), the check is performed by your device: we neither receive nor store any biometric data.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used to:

  • Generate personalised training programs.
  • Adapt the difficulty and volume of future sessions.
  • Let you track your progress over time.
  • Answer the questions you ask the assistant, taking your program and history into account.
  • Send you the notifications related to your program.
  • Manage your subscription and access to the service.
  • Diagnose and fix technical incidents.
  • Improve the quality of the service.

Your data is never used for advertising.

3. Legal basis for processing

Processing is based on:

  • Performance of our contract with you, to provide the service and manage your subscription.
  • Your consent, for the performance and body measurement data you choose to enter.
  • Our legitimate interest, for security and service improvement.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the data concerned or your account.

4. Data sharing

Your data is never sold or transferred for commercial purposes.

It is shared with our technical subprocessors, strictly to provide the service and under GDPR-compliant agreements:

  • Google Firebase — hosting, authentication, database, profile photo storage, crash reports and notification delivery.
  • Vercel — hosting of application services.
  • Anthropic — producing the in-app assistant's replies.
  • RevenueCat — management of in-app subscriptions.
  • Apple and Google — processing purchases made from the app, each on its own platform.
  • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions purchased on the website, including those opened before the app was released.
  • Zoho (European data centres) — transactional email delivery: verification codes and account notifications.

The in-app assistant. When you ask a question, your message and the training context needed to answer it — your current program, your recent history, your logged feedback — are sent to Anthropic, which produces the reply. Anthropic acts as a subprocessor: these exchanges are used solely to formulate the answer returned to you.

If you are linked to a club, your coach can access the training data needed to follow your progress.

Some providers may process data outside the European Union, under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account. Deletion is permanent and has no recycle bin: it removes your profile, your photo, your programs, your session history, your measurements and your conversations with the assistant. You may also request it at contact@rugbyprep.com.

Crash reports are kept for a maximum of 90 days, then deleted automatically. Data required by our accounting obligations — invoices tied to a subscription — is kept for the period the law requires, independently of account deletion.

6. Minors

The app is available from age 13.

Users under 15 must have obtained prior permission from a parent or legal guardian. A parent may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s data by writing to contact@rugbyprep.com.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access to your personal data.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Data portability.
  • Restriction of and objection to processing.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@rugbyprep.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
